Local · Anonymous · Queer
Verified queer dating,
without the noise.
Three intent modes, one account. DMs only open between verified profiles. Your location is rounded so other users see “less than a mile” — never an address. Independently built, not VC-backed.
iOS first. Coming soon to TestFlight.
Casual · Dating · Both
Three modes, one account.
Tap a mode for what you want tonight, this month, or in your life. Your matches change — your profile stays.
Verified is the wedge
Real people only.
DMs are locked until both sides verify. A reviewed selfie — never posted — keeps bots and catfish out.
Privacy by default
Local, but anonymous.
We round your coordinates before they leave your phone. We never store your real name, never sell your data.
How it’s different
Built for the queer experience —
not for ad revenue.
- No swipe-to-friend. Match in Dating mode and the celebration screen actually means something.
- Daily prompt, voice intros, photo stories. The features Hinge keeps for itself — yours, here.
- Position, body type, tribe, HIV status, last-tested. The fields that matter, the way they should be asked.
- Block and report in two taps. Rate-limited everything. Auto-moderation pre-screens every photo. If a real human is needed, an admin reads every report.
- Open a support ticket. A real person — me — reads it.

Quick answers.
Who is Spott for?
Queer adults (18+) looking for actual queer people nearby — casual, dating, or anywhere on that spectrum. The app is masc-neutral but welcomes the entire LGBTQ+ spectrum.
How does verification work?
You upload a quick selfie. A real human admin reviews it (usually within 24 hours). The selfie is never shown to other users and is deleted 90 days after approval. DMs only open between two verified profiles.
What does “anonymous” mean exactly?
Your real name is never required. Your exact GPS coordinates never leave your phone — we round to a 500m grid before any write. Other users only ever see a distance bucket like “less than a mile.”
Is Spott free?
Spott is free to use — making a profile, browsing, matching, and messaging never costs anything. Optional paid features are coming for power users (more on this later), but they’ll be honestly priced. No ads, no “super likes” gimmicks, no $30/month paywalls.
When does it launch?
TestFlight beta opening soon. App Store launch shortly after — join the waitlist and you’ll be the first to know.
First in line.
Drop your email. We’ll send one note when Spott opens to testers in your area. No spam, no “newsletter,” ever.
